Sustainable production: what we make must remain correct

Metalworking isn't just about steel and technology. It's also about how we interact with people, materials, and the world around us. At Kepser, we take that responsibility seriously. The Total Cost of Making (TCO) is increasingly focusing on the environmental costs. We are gradually working to make our production processes and business operations more sustainable.

Sustainable collaboration

We believe that the supply chain becomes stronger when we work together on sustainability. Like leaders in our sector, we strive for a responsible and shorter supply chain. Wherever possible, we minimize transport movements, packaging, and inefficiencies in the production process. This not only reduces costs but also energy consumption and emissions. We'd love to discuss how we can implement this within your sector, in a way that's also financially viable.

Circularity: residual flows and reusable materials

Residues from our production process can be given a second life. These find their way into new applications through our sister company Metaalklus.nl, which offers residual metal stock, significantly preventing waste. We also reuse materials from our own inventory and collaborate with suppliers to explore ways to improve circularity in our production processes. Our ambition is to utilize residual flows on an even larger scale in collaboration with customers and partners.

People: Focus on Development and Talent

As a family business, we invest in sustainable employment relationships by investing in training, vitality, and perks like a bicycle plan. Many of our colleagues have been with Kepser for years, and for good reason. Our people can count on varied work in a clean, healthy, and safe work environment. Everyone—from experienced professionals to enthusiastic apprentices—receives the guidance they need. We also provide opportunities for young technical talent through internships, vocational training programs, and participation in TechnoPromo, a foundation that introduces children to technology through play. This is how we inspire young talent to become the makers of tomorrow.

Footprint: Energy and Emissions

In our production, we continuously evaluate where improvements and cleaner practices can be made. This starts with separating waste and using LED lighting throughout the factory. Meanwhile, we systematically assess how we can further reduce energy consumption and nitrogen emissions. For us, more sustainable production means constantly taking steps forward.
